Calvin F. Dechow
CASSVILLE, Wis. - Calvin F. Dechow, 81, of Cassville, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at home.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Cassville Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Martin Funeral Home, Cassville.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1930, in Prairie du Chien, son of William and Mary (Harwood) Dechow.
Calvin graduated from Cassville High School in 1948, and entered into the Army. Following his honorable discharge, Calvin returned home and purchased the family farm. He was employed with Dairyland Power for 39 years before retiring.
He married Lois I. Hampton on Jan. 7, 1951, in Colorado Springs, Colo. Calvin enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Dechow, of Cassville; children, Linda (Dennis) Johll, Deb (Bob) Hochhausen and Jim Dechow, all of Cassville; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Dechow; and a sister, Joan Klein.
