Charles Peter was born on February, 1900 on his parents farm northeast of Corsica, SD. Charles was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, grew to man hood on his parents farm in the Blooming Valley area near Corsica, SD. After leaving the farm in 1926,he went into business in Mitchell, SD. Charles married Florence Emma Nobis on April 19, 1933 at Mitchell, SD. Florence was born in Scotland, SD on November 26, 1911. After their marriage, Charles and Florence returned to farm on the Kluth family Homestead until March 1945. Charles moved to Mitchell, SD and worked as a Carpenter for two years. On May 15, 1947, they bought a farm in Davison county, SD. Charles was chosen as the county winner of a farm-stead improvement award by radio station WNAX of Yankton, SD. The award was based on improvements to the farm and was judged by a panel of four judges. Charles died of a heart attack on his farm on October 28, 1952. He was buried in the Graceland Cemetery at Mitchell, SD. Florence now resides in the Brady Memorial Nursing Home at Mitchell, SD. they had no children.
