5496 | Jeannette Lewis, 99, of 3251 Nettie, died Thursday in a local nursing home. She was born March 8, 1895, to Fred and Agatha (Wynia) Landan in Springfield, S.D. She attended school in Springfield and moved with her family to the Billings area. She married Everett Lewis in Billings on Sept. 1, 1915. They moved to Butte in 1929. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and family picnics. She was preceded in death by her husband, eight brothers and sisters and two sons. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Dorothy Lewis of Butte and Arthur and Gertrude Lewis of Santa Monica, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 10 [20] great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Cremation took place in Butte, and no services are planned. Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. One brother, Charles of Edgar, one sister, Mrs. Mary Strouch of St. Paul, Minn. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Kasson. Funeral services took place Saturday afternoon at the home.
